Are you ready to begin learning the basics of Dutch? Join our interactive Basics Dutch Course A1 to A2. Using a communicative method focused on listening and speaking, you’ll be actively engaging in Dutch social life in no time.

Duration: 22 hours (11 lessons x 2 hours)
Class Time: 17:45 – 19:45

Course Welcome and Information

Welcome to Dutch on Track! You are about to register for our Dutch course from level A1 to A2. Below you will find the terms and conditions you agree to by becoming a student.

Course Structure

  • Duration: 11 lessons, 2 hours each.
  • Schedule:
    • Eindhoven: Every Wednesday from September 24 (no lesson on October 22 due to fall break)
    • Tilburg: Every Tuesday from September 24 (no lesson on October 22 due to fall break)

Commitment to Learning

Learning a language requires time and dedication. You are encouraged to practice at home, in the supermarket, with neighbors, and in various real-life situations. Expect an average of 6 hours of homework per week. If you cannot attend a class, please inform your teacher via email. Note that missed lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded. All study materials and homework will be provided by the teacher. You will receive a certificate of participation if you attend at least 80% of the lessons.

Course Fees

  • Cost: €500
  • Your spot is reserved once the course fees are paid.

Cancellation Policy

  • Our courses require a minimum of 8 students to start.
  • If a course needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, you will be informed at least three working days before the official start date.
  • You will not be charged and will receive a refund if you have already paid the course fees.

By registering, you agree to our privacy policy, which is available at our school. If you are not satisfied with the course, please refer to our complaints procedure.

Duration: 22 hours (11 lessons x 2 hours)
Class Time: 17:45 – 19:45
Price: €500 (includes study materials)

*week 43 is a school holiday; no lessons.

Learning Goals

By the end of this Basic Dutch Course A1 to A2, you will be able to:

  • Talk about the past and future
  • Discuss health, give advice, ask for directions, and talk about food/cooking
  • Share personal information, compliment people, and share your opinion

Method

We use the Start.nl Part 2 blended learning method. Here’s how it works:

  • At Home: Prepare for class using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
  • In Class: Focus on practicing speaking and listening.
  • After Class: Use e-learning tools to reinforce what you’ve learned.

Additionally, we encourage real-life practice outside of class with exercises designed to help you feel comfortable using Dutch in everyday situations. Expect to spend about 6 hours on homework each week.
